Ok, hear me out.


Shaken. Espresso.


Anyone else in a chokehold? Starbucks has its hands around my throat right now with their damn Toasted Vanilla Oatmilk Shaken Espresso (or whatever order they put their flavors in). I'm so hooked on this drink that I've been trying to recreate it at home. So instead of just paying the $7 a week for my coffee treat I invest three times as much trying to make the vanilla syrup, buy the right espresso bean, get oatmilk that tastes healthy (but not too healthy).


The journey so far.... I can make a vanilla shaken espresso-adjacent.


The key is to somehow get the right flavor of toasted vanilla bean without burning the crap out of them to flavor the syrup. Nevertheless, this is what is currently fueling my writing spurts, and this will probably be the drink I request on my deathbed.


Thanks for the fixation, Starbucks.
